Rose then went into a small closet and continued walking through.Confused,I followed her to find it was stair case and was really tight in here.We entered into a puke green colored hallway accompanied by two windows on on each side. The left wall consisted of two doors and the right a large double door.I pointed towards the large double door giving her questioning face."What's in there?"I asked.Instead of answering my question she walked over and opened the door and beckons me to come take a look.Well she was very talkative today. Coming back to the real world I realized that Rose had been giving me a tour of the house.Recapping what I had heard her say in my trance like state I realized we were on the second floor. The first floor had consisted of the kitchen, the family room, and a bathroom. The floor we were currently on you get to by the spiral stair case and was mostly a couple of guest rooms and a private study. She also explained that she would be sleeping down here.I wonder where will I be sleeping. When Rose told me ihad a break down and winded up in rehab for a few months.I haven't smiled since because i know that they weren't when they crashed into those waters. They were my ray of sunshine and now their gone. My parents died six months ago in a car crash. It had been the night of their big charity ball. They had been raising money for orphans and families in need. They were on their way to the ball when a drunk driver collided into them sending them off the mountain into the relentless waters of the ocean. A lion and a wolf standing side by side on their hind legs staring off at something in distance as a long vine circled around them.It had been something my mom and dad often had placed on letters, businesses sheets, mom's diary.I just wanna say I did not look in her diary I just managed to see the cover.Mom and Dad. I could drive around town."Okay ,fine" she said feeling defeated."Thank you" I said feeling satisfied.Īs she opened the door I noticed a symbol I seen many time before. With me being taller than her by a foot I made it harder for her to get them."Hand over the car keys and I'll give them up without a fight"I said using a taunting tone. She had refused to let me drive my car lately because of my speeding and I really wanted them back so. I lightly treaded over to Rose who was having trouble finding the keys. She started furiously rummaging through her purse."Looking for these"I said holding them above her head. She then reached over the top of her head trying to get them. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, and Evangeline needs all the friends she can get.Grabbing my attention,Rose began walking up the stone path towards behemoth that was to be my new home,a Victorian behemoth to be exact. It stood three stories tall with a light jasmin as it's primary color and a white Italianate trimming. At the top coming out of the of the roof was a turret (little tower that projects vertically out of a building)with a large window that probably let you see the whole area of woods behind me.It also had a large wrap around porch that already had four rocking chairs posted along it.It had been my great grandma Anne's who claimed it could put Panama beach to shame and I agreed with her. I had to give it to her, after all, she is adrift in a storm. It is very well made, and will probably last longer than she does. You know, things a girl just does not leave home without.I do not keep boxes, but I kept her tag and little card.I, also, gave her a crystal - diamond - necklace, which belonged to a Princess Diana doll. That is why I bought her, and why purple is my favorite color - it is the perfect storm coupled with black and gray.In the purse or overnight bag, you will find money hidden in bloomers, comb, compact, scissors, eye shadow with brush, a key, and a crystal. 'Lost in the Storm' is the prettiest Evangeline I have seen. I can just imagine her showing up at your door with those wild eyes, carrying the bag I put together for her, and asking if she can come in and get warm. She has violet eyes, and the colors in her dress and in her face come together just like a storm. You will be able to see this from my pictures. Evangeline Ghastly 'Lost in the Storm' is a beautiful doll.
